MIDI Settings: USB or Merge

Merge mode allows sysex data to be sent/received by the USB port and any Midi CC/PC Notes messages are sent/received only on the Standard MIDI Port.

As the editor needs to send and receive sysex and cc/pc midi messages for it to work properly; especially when deleting, saving presets to other locations and the library functions etc, setting to merge mode will have unpredictable results.

However if you are just tweaking a preset, and you want to test with midi notes then you could set to merge mode to achieve this, you should notice a red MERGE warning on the bottom of the screen if you are in merge mode.

I think I posted this before, but can't find it.

I would like to use one of the MIDI "Notes" presets while using VLT Editor at the same time. Will setting MIDI Control to "Merge" work for this or is there absolutely no way to use a "Notes" preset (which requires a MIDI keyboard connection) and the Editor program simultaneously?
